Supporting Event Safety & Security Teams

Reliable Sound Equipment & Radios for Large Events Across the UK

When it comes to organising a large-scale event, clear and reliable communication is not a luxury — it’s essential.

Whether you’re coordinating exhibitors, staff, and security teams, or ensuring guests are kept informed, our professional-grade sound systems and communication solutions are built to keep everyone connected for whatever reason.

Custom solutions for each event

No two events are the same — and neither are their communication needs. Whether you’re running a city-wide festival, a trade show, or a sports event, we’ll work with you to design a communication solution that fits your site layout, crowd size, and risk profile.    Whether site wide, egress/ingress management or centrally managed sound multizones we can help.

Why choose us?

  • Crystal-Clear Communication: From speakers to two-way radios, we supply technology that ensures your team and your guests hear exactly what they need — when they need it.
  • Event-Wide Coverage: Designed for busy venues, festivals, exhibitions, and public gatherings — our bespoke systems work across large areas, indoors and out.
  • Emergency Ready: In the event of a security threat or health emergency, rapid communication can save lives. Feel safe in the knowledge that you can broadcast critical safety instructions across your entire event immediately. Based on your instruction and our advise we are able to create multiple redundancies so operating bases can shift seamlessly.
  • Two-way radios with long battery life and secure channels – Instant and reliable communication between teams with secure radio systems.
  • Emergency broadcast systems   – set up in a manner of ways, whether hand held loudspeakers or a set of automatic prerecorded messages that will play the instant a code is input to one of our remote access systems. We can also install a ‘fist mic of god!’ which overrides everything to broadcast.
  • Mobile communication hubs for on-site coordination – single and double tier trailers can be moved in place at short notice.  These are brilliant for mobile demonstrations, security watch towers, control rooms.

Efficient Training and Experience

We get to see everything behind the scenes at large events, and know how professional the teams are. Their job is to make sure that you never need to see them.

As large events there will always be a control room, commonly called JCR (Joint Control Room) which has representatives from the emergency services, royal protection officers, CCTV operators, communications teams, the event director and a team of controllers.   The controller(s) will be the central point of communications and decisions around the site.  The larger the event, the higher tiers of structure.  Large sports stadiums require a Senior Level 4 Safety Officer on site who will manage a team of Supervisors, who look after a team of stewards, door staff and mobile incident teams.  Now sports events are now starting to follow these protocols to make sure they are as safe as possible.

More information on this, including responsilities, legal requirements and training can be found on the the Protect and Prepare website.

Event Preparation

Zone Ex

Zone Ex refers to the external area immediately surrounding an event.  This includes nearby roads, footpaths, open spaces, and adjacent land that plays a key role in how people move to and from the event.

Although this often sits outside the organiser’s direct control, it remains a critical area for ensuring the overall safety, comfort, and security of attendees.

As an event organiser, your responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and monitoring Zone Ex: Being aware of how crowds enter, exit, and circulate around the perimeter of the venue.

  • Safe crowd movement: Anticipating pinch points, managing congestion, and helping maintain safe pedestrian routes.

  • Collaboration: Working with councils, transport providers, and emergency services to plan any necessary temporary measures—such as pedestrian-only zones or traffic restrictions on event days.

  • Enhancing the attendee journey: Ensuring the transition between public space and the event footprint is smooth, safe, and well-managed.

By proactively planning for Zone Ex, organisers help create a safer event environment from the moment attendees approach the venue to the moment they leave.

Martyn's Law

Martyn’s Law (Terrorism ‘Protection of Premises’ Act 2025)

Martyn’s Law – part of the UK’s new Protect Duty – introduces important requirements to help keep the public safe at events. For event organisers, understanding this legislation is now a key part of event safety, security planning, and overall event management compliance. The law ensures that all venues and events, regardless of size, take reasonable steps to assess risks, train staff, and put effective venue security measures in place.

Preparing for Martyn’s Law isn’t just about meeting legal obligations. It’s about creating safer, more resilient events through clear risk assessment, strong communication, and well-planned emergency procedures. By embedding these principles early in the planning process, organisers can boost public confidence, protect their reputation, and demonstrate a professional commitment to event security.

In a climate where safety expectations are higher than ever, taking proactive steps to meet Martyn’s Law requirements helps ensure your event is both compliant and trusted. It’s a vital part of delivering secure, well-managed experiences for every attendee.
